Your work environment at EXP EXP is searching for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Mechanical/Electrical team in our Hamilton, ON office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future. What a day at EXP has in store for you Reports to the Mechanical/Electrical Manager or Project Manager with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision on projects from start to completion. Contributes to preparation of project proposals and other business development efforts. Able to lead and mentor design staff on all aspects of their work. Responsible for meeting EXPs engineering quality standards on assigned projects. Oversees development of design concepts and ensures proper application and execution. Reviews designers work regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings. Responsible for applying EXPs risk management practices to all projects. Leads the design team to produce schematic design, design development, tender and construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget. Prepares, studies and reports on electrical system project work. Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination. Contributes to revisions of company design standards and master specifications. Evaluates value engineering (cost saving) items with respect to the associated risk. What your experience looks like The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in the Electrical Engineering field, with a preferred focus in building consulting engineering. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree. Registered Professional Engineer is required. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, products and electrical design software. AutoCAD experience required and REVIT MEP proficiency desired. This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization. The salary range for this role is between$100K - $135K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
