Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and reliable Server/Cashier to join our team in a rapid-paced restaurant setting. This role involves providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Our establishment is located near a major university and serves a diverse customer base, including students and community members. Work Schedule Days: Tuesday – Saturday Hours: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM Consistent weekly schedule Position Requirements Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused attitude Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role Smart Serve or Food Handler Certification (asset) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash Availability for consistent mid-day to early evening shifts Willingness to assist with general restaurant operations and maintain cleanliness Key Responsibilities Greet customers and seat them in the dining area Take food and beverage orders (in person and by phone) Accurately communicate orders to kitchen staff, including special requests Deliver food and beverages promptly Process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system Handle cash transactions, including providing change and balancing the cash drawer Explicit and reset tables after customers leave Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, counters, and service stations Stock service stations with napkins, utensils, condiments, and other supplies Ongoing interaction with customers and kitchen staff Ideal Candidate Positive attitude and strong communication skills Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Comfortable working with a diverse customer base Pay: $17.60 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p58tn
