Roofing Carpentry Foreman (Hamilton)

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Roofing Carpentry Foreman to join our growing team. This is a newly created leadership role driven by company expansion, offering an opportunity to help shape field operations and set the standard for workmanship, efficiency, and team performance. The Foreman will report directly to the Project Manager and oversee a crew of up to six team members. This role is responsible for executing roofing and carpentry projects safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards while maintaining strong communication between the field and management. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Crew Management - Supervise and lead a crew of up to 6 roofing and carpentry personnel - Assign daily tasks and ensure efficient workflow on-site - Train, mentor, and develop crew members to improve skillsets and productivity - Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment Project Execution - Execute roofing systems, repairs, and carpentry work according to scope and specifications - Interpret drawings, work orders, and project plans accurately - Ensure all work meets company quality standards and building codes - Identify and resolve on-site challenges proactively Communication & Coordination - Act as the primary point of contact between the crew and Project Manager - Provide daily progress updates, including photos and reports - Communicate material needs, delays, and scope changes promptly - Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other trades as required Safety & Compliance - Enforce all health and safety policies and procedures in office - Conduct regular safety checks and toolbox talks - Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and PPE Materials & Equipment Management - Track and manage materials to minimize waste and shortages - Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and equipment - Assist with inventory tracking and reporting Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in roofing and/or carpentry - Proven experience in a leadership or foreman role preferred - Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills - Strong communication and organizational abilities - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Key Competencies - Leadership and accountability - Time management and efficiency - Attention to detail and quality control - Adaptability in a fast-paced environment - Strong work ethic and professionalism What We Offer - Competitive compensation based on experience - Opportunity for growth within an expanding company - Supportive leadership and team environment - Ability to play a key role in shaping field operations Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $26.00-$40.00 per hour Benefits: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Application question(s): - Are you comfortable placing 80 lbs on your shoulder and climbing a 40-foot ladder? - Are you willing to sign our company drug & alcohol policy stating that these are never to be used during working hours?
