Pharmacist Assistant (Hamilton)

Job description: Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy staff in providing exceptional patient care. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in medication administration, patient care, and medical terminology. Experience as a pharmacy technician or working in a hospital setting is highly desirable. YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO USE KROLL Duties - Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently - Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and labeling - Process prescriptions and insurance claims - Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care - Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and record keeping Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations - Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a hospital setting is highly desirable - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment At our pharmacy, we offer competitive pay, opportunities for career growth, and a supportive work workplace.
