Cultural Language Instructor at Six Nations, West Haldimand (Port Dover)

Join Six Nations of the Grand River as a Cultural Language Instructor focused on early childhood education. Deliver a culturally enriched, play-based curriculum for children aged 0-6 years.

In this full-time position, you will support child development through Native language instruction and cultural activities. As an instructor, you are responsible for facilitating a safe, engaging learning environment and implementing early childhood guidelines. You will collaborate with staff and parents to promote cultural awareness and support children's individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:• Introduce Native language through themed activities • Plan and implement educational teaching circles • Create learning materials and resources • Develop culturally relevant programs and crafts • Communicate daily with parents and caregivers

Requirements:• Cultural Language Diploma or relevant education • Knowledge of Haudenosaunee culture and traditions • Must pass a criminal records check • Valid First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain • Ability to teach primary words in Mohawk or Cayuga
