Part time Family Physician (Westdale)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions. The Family Medicine Physician will play a crucial role in enhancing the health and well-being of our community. Responsibilities - Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations. - Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across various age groups. - Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences. - Provide preventive care, including immunizations and health screenings. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively. - Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner or Epic. - Educate patients and their families about health management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices. - Participate in research initiatives to improve patient outcomes and advance medical knowledge. - Stay current with advancements in family medicine and medical terminology. Experience - Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. - Board certification in Family Medicine is preferred. - Experience in a medical office or hospital setting is highly desirable. - Familiarity with home care practices is a plus. - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner or Epic. - Strong understanding of acute care practices and pediatrics is beneficial. - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. - Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care while maintaining professional standards.
