Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description This role involves working on a fast-paced production line performing general labour tasks such as packing, boxing, and packaging baked goods. You will support various stages of production across multiple product lines, ensuring products are handled safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Responsibilities Work on production lines to perform general labour tasks, including packing, boxing, and packaging products. Handle and package baked goods such as cakes, brownies, muffins, crumpets, bagels, English muffins, and cookies according to established procedures. Align trays, place cups, and prepare products for baking or packaging in a consistent and productive manner. Load and unload trays and products on the production line, including bagel trays and other baked goods. Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining a steady work pace. Operate or assist with basic machine operating tasks as required for general production and loading. Follow quality assurance guidelines, checking products and packaging for defects or inconsistencies. Lift and move products and materials weighing up to 3050 lbs as part of daily duties. Support cross-training efforts by working in different production areas and buildings as needed. Follow all safety, hygiene, and food handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and timelines. Essential Skills General production or manufacturing experience, preferably in a packaging or food production environment. Experience with general labour tasks such as packaging, packing, and boxing products. Ability to lift up to 3050 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift. Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy. Willingness and ability to work in different production areas and buildings as part of cross-training. Capability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including mildly hot and hotter production areas. Basic comfort with machine operating and loading tasks in a production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a packaging operator is an asset. Experience as a production line worker is an advantage. Familiarity with food production, baking, or similar industrial environments is beneficial. Attention to detail and commitment to quality in packaging and product handling. The work involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive motions, and handling products and materials up to 3050 lbs. Standard production attire is required, with appropriate safety and hygiene gear provided according to food production and safety guidelines.
