WGEN Volunteer Logistics Coordinator Role (Hamilton)

Contribute to gender equity at McMaster as a volunteer Logistics Coordinator with WGEN. This role focuses on organizing impactful events and coordinating logistics for community engagement.

The WGEN events team seeks a Logistics Coordinator to enhance campus experiences through effective event planning. Key responsibilities include booking venues, managing event setup and takedown, and ensuring all logistics align with intersectional feminist principles. Collaborate with MSU and community partners to create inclusive and meaningful programming.

Key Responsibilities: • Organize logistics for WGEN events, including room bookings • Manage event scheduling and EOHSS fulfilments • Oversee setup and takedown processes during events • Facilitate brainstorming and content creation within the Events Committee • Maintain organization of space materials and displays

Requirements: • Awareness of gender-based issues and intersectionality • Experience in event planning is an asset • Robust organizational and communication skills • Ability to challenge dominant views with confidence • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of participants
