About us Grifols is a pharmaceutical manufacturer licensed by Health Canada and certified by the European Union (EU) and the International Quality Plasma Program (IQPP). CPR is a source member of the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA). Grifols collects quality plasma from healthy donors. That plasma is used for further manufacturing into therapies to treat various health conditions. Position Summary: The Training Coordinator (TC) is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and monitoring all training activities within the plasma collection center to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and organizational standards. This role plays a critical function in bridging training, quality, and operations by identifying performance gaps, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring that staff are competent, compliant, and operationally effective. Position Objective: To ensure the consistent development, execution, and continuous improvement of training programs that drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and workforce competency across the plasma collection center. The role is accountable for translating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities into effective training interventions, while proactively identifying performance gaps and implementing targeted solutions that enhance staff capability, reduce deviations, and support safe, efficient donor operations. Training Coordination & Delivery - Coordinate, schedule, and oversee training activities, ensuring alignment with corporate training programs and operational needs. - Ensure completion of all required training, including SOP updates, annual training, re-certifications, and memo-based training within established timelines. - ·upport and guide designated trainers in delivering effective onboarding, refresher, and spot-training sessions (e.g., TAR-based training). - Conduct and facilitate training sessions and developmental activities to support operational objectives. - Continuously train employees on new or revised processes, including scheduling changes and operational improvements. Performance Monitoring & Coaching - Monitor employee performance through observation, audits, and review of operational metrics to ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards. - Provide real-time coaching and structured feedback to improve staff competency and adherence to procedures. - Conduct performance reviews for donor floor staff and support development planning. - Identify training gaps and recommend or implement retraining initiatives based on audit findings, deviations, and quality reports. - Assist in developing and executing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) where required. Compliance & Quality Alignment Ensure adherence to training-related SOPs and regulatory requirements across all center functions. Create, maintain, and audit training records and documentation to ensure completeness and compliance. Report quality issues, procedural deviations, and training-related risks to the Quality/Regulatory team and management. Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) related to training deficiencies. Address observations raised by Quality or TOD teams and ensure timely resolution. Collaboration & Communication Partner closely with TOD, Quality, and Center Management to align training initiatives with operational and compliance priorities. Conduct regular team briefings to communicate updates, SOP changes, expectations, and focus areas. · Participate in employee interviews, evaluations, and disciplinary processes in collaboration with management and HR. · Collaborate with regional training teams to meet organizational training goals and implement improvements. Training Program Development & Improvement · Develop, update, and maintain training materials in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. · Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in training processes and operational performance. · Support the design and delivery of targeted retraining and continuous education initiatives. · Ensure employees returning from leave receive appropriate retraining prior to resuming duties. Operational Support · Maintain competency to perform key operational roles and provide support on the floor when needed. · Ensure a secure working environment by reporting unsafe conditions or practices to management. Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience: 1. High school diploma 2. Strong knowledge of SOPs, regulatory requirements, and plasma collection operations 3. Training delivery and instructional design capability 4. Coaching and performance management skills 5. Analytical thinking and problem-solving 6. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement 7.
