Job Description

The Material Handler is responsible for the delivery and removal of all materials to and from all plant departments in a timely, efficient and safe manner. Communication is an important facet of this role as the Material Handler will be working with and supporting various departments within the company. As a key team member, the Material Handler is responsible for maintaining the workflow on the production floor, preparing orders for shipment, storing materials, assisting with inventory and operating the machinery with safety as a top priority.What you will do as a Material Handler :

Review orders and pull the correct products for corresponding customers, while assisting with the packaging and loading of finished products into trucks for delivery drivers. Monitor supply levels of film and other materials for production departments, restocking when needed or requested. Assist in the Converting department by preparing or loading rolls of film onto machinery.Participate in the continuous improvement of the Warehouse department by counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking skids in preparation for Tempo’s inventory program. Operate and maintain Tempo’s automated production equipment, reporting any damage or defects found. Protect the health and safety of yourself and others by performing safety circle checks on equipment, creating work orders to repair damaged equipment, and keeping common workstations and areas clean.Other duties as required by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager. 12-hour shift, 3 days per week Rotating every 2 weeks days and night (7:00AM to 7:00pm OR 7:00pm to 7:00AM) Work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours 16 days off a month Must be able to reliably commute to work– own transportation.
