Position: Heavy Equipment Operator
Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Various job sites in Kamloops and surrounding areas, BC
Hourly Wage: $36.60

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• Completion of some courses in heavy equipment operation, along with on-the-job training
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery is preferred
• Good command of English
• Physically capable of performing duties in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions

Duties:
• Operate various types of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, skidsteers, loaders) for earthmoving and related construction activities
• Perform all aspects of site preparation, including land clearing, utility trenching, road/pad building, and new utility infrastructure installation
• Understand material conditioning basics
• Operate different types of compaction equipment with various materials
• Load, move, and unload materials using heavy machinery
• Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, fueling, and cleaning
