Job Duties:
Clinical Duties
Chairside assisting for general dentistry procedures (restorative, preventive, endodontic,
surgical, etc.)
Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms before and after patients
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control protocols (IPAC compliant)
Take and process digital X-rays (panoramic and intraoral)
Assist with impressions, temporaries, bonding, and cementation
Ensure proper setup and breakdown of dental equipment
Maintain accurate clinical notes and charting
Patient Care
Welcome patients and ensure comfort throughout appointments
Explain procedures and post-operative instructions clearly
Monitor patients during and after procedures
Maintain a calm, professional, and compassionate chairside manner
Administrative & Team Support
Assist with appointment flow and time management
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and alert team when restocking is required
Follow clinic policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
Collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, and front desk staff
We are looking for a team player who is a good multi-tasker in a fast-paced environment with excellent
communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate:
Must have relevant post-secondary educational credentials – completion of a dental assistant
training program is preferred.
Must be a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) – registration must be in good standing (BC or
eligible).
Must have current CPR / BLS certification.
Must have experience with using dental software (Dentrix, Cleardent, Tracker, or similar).
Strong understanding of infection-control standards is an asset.
