Laundry Production Worker (Kamloops)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our facility. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace. Previous experience in a hotel or laundry setting is preferred. Duties - Operate washing machines and dryers to clean linens, towels, and other items as required. - Sort, fold, and organize laundry items for easy access and distribution. - Inspect items for stains or damage before washing and report any issues to management. - Maintain cleanliness of laundry equipment and work areas to ensure a safe working environment. - Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and machinery. - Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low. - Provide excellent service by ensuring timely delivery of clean items to designated areas. Skills - Previous hotel experience is a plus, providing familiarity with the specific needs of hospitality laundry services. - Strong knowledge of laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and ironing techniques. - Attention to detail with the ability to identify stains or damage on fabrics. - Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within tight deadlines. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment. - Basic cleaning skills with an understanding of proper sanitation practices.
