Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet metal HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a commercial settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of plumbing, welding, schematics, and construction practices to ensure efficient and protected installations. The sheetmetal Installer will work closely with clients and team members to deliver high-quality service while adhering to safety standards and building codes. Duties Install HVAC systems including ductwork, thermostats, and related components according to schematics and blueprints Perform repairs and maintenance on existing HVAC units to ensure optimal performance Utilize plumbing, welding, and mechanical skills for system assembly and troubleshooting Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals for proper installation procedures Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope Conduct system testing to verify proper operation after installation or repair Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes during all phases of work Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced technicians as needed Qualifications Proven experience in HVAC installation, repair, or maintenance with a solid understanding of mechanical systems Strong knowledge of plumbing, welding, boiler systems, appliance repair, and construction practices Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and general maintenance procedures Prior experience as a mechanic or in related fields such as appliance repair or construction is highly desirable Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments Solid communication skills and attention to detail This position offers an opportunity for growth within a reputable company dedicated to providing quality service.
