Description
The Project Sales Representative in Construction Services plays a pivotal role in driving project success from inception to completion by combining proactive sales generation with meticulous project planning and execution. This position is responsible for acquiring new clients, preparing detailed proposals and quotes, and coordinating all aspects of residential or commercial construction projects. Acting as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, the Sales Representative ensures timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while fostering strong, long-term relationships with clients and community partners. By overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate documentation, this role contributes directly to the company's growth, customer satisfaction, and reputation within the industry. Project Planning and Coordination - Establish project timelines, ensuring all phases of projects are completed on schedule. - Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to align project goals and resolve any issues that arise. - Quoting all projects and preparing client proposals. - Active customer acquisition and sales prospecting. - Ordering all project materials as selected by clients or required for project completion. Project Execution - Creation of daily workorders for staff and subcontractors. - Directly supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with building codes, safety regulations, and contract specifications. - Oversee the work of subcontractors, trades, and in-house staff, ensuring that each performs their tasks efficiently and to the required standards. - Ensure all necessary permits, inspections, and approvals are obtained throughout the project lifecycle. Budget Management - Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure all work is completed within financial constraints. - Approve and process change orders, assessing their impact on project costs and timelines. - Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate invoices, progress billing, and financial reporting for all projects. Client Communication and Relationship Management - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the project’s progress. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and repeat business. Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate records of all project documentation, including contracts, quotes, inspection reports, and change orders. - Ensure all project documentation is organized, archived, and accessible for future reference. Client and Community Engagement - Represent the company at community events, networking functions, and other engagements as determined by the owners. - Lead conflict resolution efforts with clients, subcontractors, and staff as issues arise. - Uphold and enforce company policies, standards, and customer service expectations in all client interactions. Required Education and Experience: - A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project and staff management. - Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction project management software. - A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Salary will be negotiated based on experience and skill level.
