Description Privato Vineyard & Winery is looking for a passionate and detail-driven Chef to lead our intimate kitchen and bring our bistro experience to life. This is a unique opportunity to work in a boutique winery setting where the focus is on a small, thoughtfully curated menu designed to complement our wines and enhance every guest visit. Role Description As Bistro at Privato Chef, you’ll be responsible for creating and executing a refined, seasonal menu with a small number of carefully crafted dishes . This role is ideal for someone who believes in quality over quantity and takes pride in delivering consistent, elevated food in a relaxed but high-standard workplace. What You'll Do - Execute a small, wine-focused menu with consistency, precision, and attention to detail - Develop and refine seasonal dishes that align with Privato’s brand and guest experience - Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment - Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met - Collaborate with our front-of-house and events team for seamless service - Support winery events (wine club events, weddings, private bookings) with curated food offerings - Support the tasting room staff Qualifications - Culinary skills, such as food preparation, cooking, and menu creation - Customer service and interpersonal skills for hosting tastings and events - Knowledge of food pairings, wine, and cider is an asset - Organization and time management skills for maintaining a clean and efficient workspace - Ability to lift products and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment - Professionalism and enthusiasm to deliver an exceptional visitor experience - Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or retail is preferred - Must have or be willing to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., Food Safe and Serving It Right) Schedule - Full-time (seasonal flexibility required) - Weekend and event availability is essential How to apply Send your resume and a brief introduction to Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2otq8c
