Job Title: Senior Scrum Master (Agile Delivery – Technical Focus) Experience Level: 7–15 Years Contract: 1-Year Location: Remote (Canada) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead agile delivery across multiple technology initiatives within a complex, rapid-paced environment. This role requires a strong blend of leadership, agile expertise, and technical awareness, enabling effective collaboration between product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a hands-on agile leader who goes beyond facilitation — driving delivery outcomes, removing impediments, and continuously improving team performance. Exposure to modern technologies, analytics tools, and emerging AI practices is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities - Lead and support agile delivery across multiple teams and workstreams, ensuring alignment with business and technology goals. - Facilitate all agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with a focus on outcomes. - Partner closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to drive backlog refinement, prioritization, and release planning. - Act as a servant leader, enabling teams to deliver efficiently while fostering accountability and ownership. - Identify, track, and resolve delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments across teams. - Drive data-informed decision making using dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or similar). - Monitor and communicate delivery metrics, team velocity, and performance insights to stakeholders. - Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team effectiveness and delivery predictability. - Support coordination across cross-functional teams, including engineering, security, and platform teams. - Collaborate with Agile Coaches and leadership to improve agile maturity and best practices adoption. - Enable teams to effectively leverage modern tools, automation, and AI-driven practices where applicable. Required Skills & Experience - 7+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with proven delivery ownership. - Demonstrated strong leadership and influencing skills without direct authority. - Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, principles, and real-world application in complex environments. - Experience managing multiple teams or concurrent initiatives. - Strong ability to remove blockers, manage risks, and drive execution in fast-paced settings. - Solid technical understanding (ability to engage with engineering teams, interpret technical discussions and metrics). - Hands-on experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Jira dashboards, or equivalent). - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and delivery optimization. Preferred Qualifications - Prior coding or software development experience (any modern programming language). - Familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, automation, or intelligent workflows. - Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Exposure to application security, vulnerability management, or DevSecOps practices. - Experience working with distributed/global teams. - Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent.
