Brunch Line and Prep Cook (Kamloops)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Brunch Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes, and maintaining excellent food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service experiences to our guests. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally valued. Duties - Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards - Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients - Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality, consistency, and safety standards - Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station before, during, and after shifts - Support the team in meal assembly during busy service times - Follow proper food safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness - Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed Experience - Prior Egg cooking experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate - Knowledge of Egg preparation techniques and cooking methods - Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures - Experience with meal preparation and working in fast-paced environments is a plus - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen environment.
