About us
Mabel Lake Golf&Airpark is a small business in Enderby, BC. Our goal is to hire seasonal kitchen staff to join our team this season while enjoying one of British Columbia's prime golf and travel destinations. Position Summary
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring high-quality food preparation, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency. Working within a fast paced golf course environment, this role supports daily food service operations for the clubhouse restaurant, tournaments, banquets, member events, and special functions.Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, specifications, and presentation standards. Manage and oversee assigned kitchen stations (grill, sauté, pizza, banquet, etc.). Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner during service periods. Assist with menu development and daily feature preparation.Maintain consistency, quality, and portion control standards. Support banquet, tournament, and special event food production. Kitchen Operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times. Monitor product freshness, rotation, labeling, and storage procedures. Assist with inventory control and minimizing food waste. Communicate effectively with chefs, line cooks, and front‑of‑house staff.Teamwork&Leadership
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required. Promote a positive, professional, and respectful work environment. Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth service operations. Maintain composure and professionalism during high-volume service. Qualifications&Requirements
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Line Cook, or similar culinary role preferred. Culinary diploma or equivalent experience considered an asset. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and tournament/event days.Food Safe certification required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions
Quick paced kitchen environment with varying service volumes. Indoor kitchen setting with exposure to heat, sharp equipment, and noise. Schedule may vary seasonally depending on golf course operations and events. Compensation&Benefits
