Mechanical Engineer Activity sector: Pulp and Paper

Site: Kamloops, BC

Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,140

Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)

YOUR ROLE Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will be involved with projects, maintenance, and reliability assignments.

Your Responsibilities

Managing and executing mill capital and major maintenance projects

Working closely with Area Manufacturing Superintendents, Maintenance Supervisors and Process Engineers to implement mill design changes and improvements

Analyzing and engineering-out repetitive mechanical problems

Preparing and coordinating maintenance shutdowns

Supervising the activities of contractors to ensure compliance with all company policies, governmental regulations, and facility operating and housekeeping standards

Your Qualifications Required:

Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent

Minimum of 4 years industrial experience, and eligible for registration with The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia

Preferred:

Pulp and Paper experience

Project management and construction management experience

Knowledge and experience with ASME Boiler/Pressure Vessel Code
