Mechanical Engineer in Pulp and Paper, Kamloops

This role reports to the Engineering Manager and involves project management, maintenance, and reliability assignments. You'll collaborate with manufacturing superintendents and process engineers to drive mill improvements. Analyzing mechanical issues to enhance reliability will be a core part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:• Manage mill capital and maintenance projects efficiently • Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams • Analyze and resolve mechanical problems proactively • Prepare and coordinate maintenance shutdowns effectively • Supervise contractor activities for compliance and standards

Requirements:• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent • At least 4 years of industrial engineering experience • Eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC • Pulp and Paper experience preferred • Knowledge of ASME Boiler/Pressure Vessel Code is a plus
