Sprinkler Fitter based in Kelowna

The Sprinkler Fitter will report to the Project Manager and his designate. This is a permanent position. We are seeking a customer-focused, highly organized, and experienced fitters. The successful candidate will have previous experience performing new installation and renovation/retro-fit related work.

Position Requirements A Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for the installation, service, and repair of fire protection systems, including: wet, dry, pre-action, and suppression systems; as well as fire pumps and backflow devices. What makes you valuable?

Certified Sprinkler Fitter

with a valid trade certification (e.g., Red Seal, Journeyman Ticket)

A member of Union Local 170, Local 496, Local 488, Local 324 in good standing

Follow verbal and written instructions.

Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.

Majority of work all above head

Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities

Ability to work flexible hours.

Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

Security Clearance is an asset.

Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to work in any locations and adapt to shift schedules.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
