This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the pharmacy department including providing customer service, processing prescriptions, dispensing of medications, inventory management, performing scheduled pharmacy procedures, servicing the front counter, cashiering duties, telephone answering and general housekeeping and maintenance.
Regulated Pharmacy technicians must have completed all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs and passed the exams. Regulated Pharmacy Technicians must also be registered with the respective College of Pharmacy in the province of employment.
Qualifications
Successful completion of all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy technician programs
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Self starter with a high level of enthusiasm
Ability to relate to all levels of customers and their needs
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
Ability to work as a team player and have a collaborative approach
Basic computer skills
Be aware of and promote standards to ensure both employees and visitor’s Health and Safety
Create and maintain a safe, fair and harassment free environment for all employees
Certain positions at London Drugs place an employee at greater risk of potentially contracting Hepatitis (A and B) as a result of the nature of their job. To protect the health of our employees and customers, should you be promoted or change jobs into this position, you will be required to have a current Hepatitis vaccination in compliance with Policy No. 433. The Hepatitis (A and B) vaccination will be provided at no cost to you, and is in compliance with Provincial Workers’ Compensation or Occupational Health and Safety Regulation. Please read and familiarize yourself with this policy.
Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday, day and evening shifts.
