Retail Operations & Demand Planning Manager Location: Hybrid, from home and in office in either Manhattan Beach, CA, or Draper, UT. Salary Range: $90,000 - 100,000/year - depending on location and experience. About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Operations & Demand Planning Manager to support the continued growth of our retail business. This role is responsible for managing retail operational processes, forecasting and demand planning, retailer item setup and maintenance, and ensuring cross-functional execution across sales, supply chain, operations, and marketing. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the nuances of specialty retail and beauty operations, and can balance analytical planning with day-to-day executional excellence. Experience working with retailers such as Ulta Beauty is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Demand Planning & Inventory Management - Own retail demand forecasting and inventory planning across key retail accounts - Analyze sell-in, sell-through, weeks of supply, and inventory trends to support business growth - Partner with supply chain and operations teams to improve forecast accuracy and inventory health - Monitor retailer inventory positions and proactively identify risks or opportunities - Support launch forecasting, promotional forecasting, and replenishment planning Retail Operations - Manage retailer operational workflows and timelines across launches, transitions, and ongoing maintenance - Coordinate and submit retailer forms, operational documents, and portal requirements accurately and on time - Maintain retailer calendars and operational trackers - Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to ensure seamless execution PIM & Item Setup - Own retailer item setup and maintenance processes, including PIM submissions and product data management - Ensure accuracy of SKU information, UPCs, product attributes, imagery, pricing, dimensions, and assortment data - Manage ongoing item maintenance, updates, and retailer-specific requirements - Coordinate product launches and transitions with internal and external stakeholders Chargebacks & Compliance - Manage and resolve retailer chargebacks, deductions, and compliance issues - Investigate root causes and partner with internal teams to reduce future chargebacks - Maintain operational compliance with retailer routing guides and requirements - Track deductions and provide reporting and recommendations for process improvement Reporting & Analytics - Develop and maintain operational reporting dashboards and trackers - Provide regular insights and recommendations related to inventory, forecasting, and retail performance - Support monthly business reviews and retail planning initiatives Qualifications - 4–7 years of experience in retail operations, demand planning, supply chain, or sales operations - Experience supporting national retail accounts, preferably within beauty, CPG, or specialty retail - Solid understanding of retailer operational processes, including item setup, forecasting, and compliance - Experience with PIM systems and retailer portals (Ulta experience strongly preferred) - Advanced Excel and analytical skills - Strong project management and organizational abilities - Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Preferred Qualifications - Experience managing Ulta Beauty operational processes, portals, and chargebacks - Experience with forecasting or ERP systems - Beauty industry experience strongly preferred What Success Looks Like - Accurate and actionable retail demand forecasts - Smooth and timely retailer launches and item setup execution - Reduced chargebacks and operational errors - Strong cross-functional communication and execution - Improved retail operational efficiency and visibility across the business Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oq5o6
