Mechanical Layout Designer for Industrial Projects (Kelowna)

Drive design excellence as a Mechanical Layout Designer at WSP, focusing on heavy industrial projects in Canada. Optimize layouts and create effective 3D models for plant upgrades. In this role, you'll participate in the design and optimization of layouts for heavy industrial environments. Collaborate with multiple teams to develop detailed designs and layout arrangements for existing plants and recent facilities. With over 8 years of experience required, you’ll prepare design sketches, perform trade-off studies, and ensure compliance with engineering standards. Key Responsibilities: - Create 3D models and layouts for new facilities - Review engineering designs and vendor drawings - Develop design briefs and calculations - Coordinate with disciplines for accurate design flow - Attend model reviews and maintain standards Requirements: - Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent - 8+ years in mechanical engineering design - Strong knowledge of equipment installation - Experience with Plant3D and Revit - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Utilize your skills to deliver impactful design solutions for WSP and make a difference in the industry.
