Controller Kelowna

Built Group runs three brands (Built Labs, Built Prefab, Lake Country Modular Kelowna, Lake Country Modular Calgary) and a launching SaaS company (Built Labs). We need a Controller to take ownership of the financial operation across the group. What you'll do: Run full-cycle accounting across multiple entities — AR, AP, payroll, GL, monthly close Produce consolidated monthly financials by the 10th of the following month Manage the relationship with our external accountant on year-end and tax Cash flow forecasting and management reporting Get the books clean enough to support real strategic decisions and future capital raises Separate Built Labs financials from Built Group operations as the SaaS business scales Eventually build and lead the finance function as the company grows What we need: 5+ years as a controller or senior accountant, ideally in a multi-entity business CPA or near-CPA Construction, manufacturing, or SaaS experience a solid plus Comfortable with QuickBooks (or willing to move us if you have a better recommendation) Hands-on operator, not someone who needs a team to function Can think strategically but is willing to do the work What you'll get: Competitive salary range depending on experience Perks A real seat at the table — you'll be talking to the decision makers directly, not buried in a finance department The chance to build the finance function for a company that's about to scale Kelowna-based, some flexibility on remote/hybrid To apply: send your resume and a short note about why this role interests you to.
