Other capabilities that would be valuable include general experience related to low volume road & resource bridges, pedestrian bridges, and culvert design. You will have hands‐on involvement leading and preparing studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications and contract documents. You will also be participating in business development and preparation of proposals.Acting as Project Engineer and/or Project ManagerPreparing written technical reports including, but not limited to, feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, and design criteria reportsPreparing contract documents and construction drawingsOverseeing and coordinating work for Civil TechnologistsProviding support to technicians and designers to ensure deliverables are accurately preparedPerforming construction administration/inspectionPerforming project management tasks including communications with clients, managing schedules, budgets, and reporting requirementsCoordinating sub-consultants on projectsCoordinating with other disciplines on larger projectsExecuting projects in accordance with company guidelines and standardsParticipating in marketing strategies and business development with clients to procure business site visits to assess project sites, carry out construction field reviews, or complete emergency flood response servicesOpportunity to collaborate and deliver water resources, infrastructure and transportation projects across BCHydrological analysis and watershed modellingHydraulic analysis and modelling of creeks, rivers, channels, culverts, bridges and water management structuresHydraulic analysis and modelling of drainage and stormwater systemsHydrotechnical design of water management infrastructure and flood protection systemsMapping and spatial analysis of GIS dataQualificationsUndergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post‐secondary institutionRegistered or eligible for registration with EGBC as a Professional Engineer3+ years of civil design experienceExperience in the resource sector (mining and/or forestry) related to transportation, bridge and civil studies, design, specifications, cost estimating, tendering and constructionExperience and proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCADProven technical skillsStrong communication and organization skillsCommitted team playerTrack record in managing clients and developing client relationshipsAbout UsAt Associated Engineering, we're passionate about not only the work we do but the communities we live and work in.
