City 5 Ton Driver (Kelowna)

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a City 5 Ton Driver who will also assist with warehouse tasks. This person will be responsible for picking up and delivering freight in a timely, safe and secure manner. This role reports to the Operations Supervisor. The incumbent takes charge of the entire loading/picking/delivering/completing paperwork process to ensure all orders are complete and meet appointment times, and also helps with warehouse tasks, including loading/unloading trailers, operating a forklift, and using power jacks, manual jacks, and hand bombing. Responsibilities: - Loading the outbound truck - Maintains process management and paperwork - Use ELD - Get customer signature on a tablet app at the time of pickup and delivery - Ensures compliance with all appropriate policies, best practices and safety rules - Willing to work occasional extended hours as required and able to handle up to 50-pound boxes - Other duties as required - Warehouse tasks Qualifications & Key Competencies: - Class 5 Driver's Licence, air brake certification is an asset - Ability to Operate Pallet Jacks Safely - Experience in a Distribution Centre/Warehouse role is desirable - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing - Good analytical and mathematical skills - Strong organizational skills; attention to detail - Ability to meet urgent deadlines - Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently - Forklift Certification - Warehouse experience Hours and Location: - Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 16:30 - Terminal Location: Kelowna, BC Remuneration: $25.00 -$26.00 per hour based on experience Benefits: - A supportive work setting - Medical benefits plan - KPI Bonus plan Intended Job Posting Audience: Anyone who can legally work in Canada E-mail: We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
