Project Coordinator - Construction (Kelowna)

Company Overview Emry Formworks is a locally owned Kelowna based concrete formwork contractor. We primarily serve the Okanagan region Our focus is building multi-level concrete structures that shape and enrich our communities. Summary Our Project Coordinator (PC) is a vital role on our team, responsible for supporting construction projects from start to finish. This position is based in Kelowna and reports to our Project Manager. It offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community-enriching infrastructure. Responsibilities - Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure timely completion. - Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. - Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and SiteMax. - Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and team members to ensure smooth operations. - Electronic document control – drawings, change orders, schedules, shop drawings. - Initiate and follow-up on Requests for Information (RFI’s). - Prepare AutoCAD sketches and drawings. - Attend meetings. - Prepare meeting minutes and progress reports. - Manage & track email correspondence with stakeholders (consultants, General Contractor, Emry Team, engineers, etc.). - Develop safety documents in Salus safety software. - Creation of manuals, summaries, material/equipment lists. - Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports. - Support the project management team in achieving project goals. - Qualifications - Proven experience with blueprint reading. - Self starter. - Coachable, positive attitude, team player, sociable, like to have fun. - Superb and dedicated work ethic with a desire to contribute and learn. - Robust project management skills with a focus on time management. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Prior experience in concrete or heavy civil construction is preferred. - Knowledge of construction safety processes and procedures. - Very detail oriented, producing high-quality outputs.
