Program Leader for Summer Recreation (Kelowna)

Lead impactful recreation programs as a Program Leader with BGC Okanagan in Kelowna, BC. This summer position runs from June 30 to August 25, focusing on providing enriching experiences for children and families. As a Program Leader, you will implement social and educational activities in a cooperative environment. Ensure program operations adhere to guidelines, evaluate effectiveness, and promote community participation. Your leadership will facilitate positive experiences for participants and contribute to meaningful community relationships. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute recreational and educational activities - Work collaboratively to deliver program objectives - Ensure adherence to program guidelines and safety standards - Develop promotional materials to engage the community - Keep accurate records and submit reports as required Requirements: - Relevant diploma or significant experience with children/youth - One year or more of recent related experience - Class 5 Driver’s License with willingness to obtain Class 4 - First Aid and Food Safe certifications needed - Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check Lead exciting recreational programs that foster growth and community spirit this summer.
