Pacific Western Fire Protection (2017) Ltd. has been servicing fire suppression and life safety systems throughout British Columbia for over 25 years. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Sprinkler Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting, servicing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, along with a strong understanding of NFPA standards and fire life safety requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA codes and standards - Perform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems and other building fire life safety equipment - Accurately document deficiencies and generate detailed digital inspection reports - Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire protection systems - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system layouts - Communicate effectively with clients, office staff, and team members to ensure project success - Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes - Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment REQUIREMENTS: - Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter (IP) Certification - Minimum of 3 years of Journeyman experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection sprinkler fitting - Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team - Valid driver’s licence - Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance ASSETS (Preferred but not required): - Experience completing system inspections and preparing reports - Experience with ServiceTrade software - Strong technical ability, including using tablets/iPads for digital reporting - Valid backflow certification (BCWWA) WHAT WE OFFER: - Competitive wages - Company vehicle and phone - Extended health and dental benefits - RRSP matching program - Paid education, training, and opportunities for advancement If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in joining a dynamic and growing company, please submit your resume along with a cover letter and desired remuneration.
