Our mentorship model allows tean members to grow quickly into their full potential. Role Description This is a full-time Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) role based in Nelson, BC. The candidate should be interested in managin their own portfolio of incorporated business clients and have a desire to build professional relationships and grow their client list. This role can be a fast-track to Partnership for the right candidate. Day to day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and related compliance filings; advising clients on tax planning, cash flow, and business structure; interpreting financial results, and presenting recommendations in clear, accessible language. The CPA will also participate in planning meetings, respond promptly to client inquiries, and support clients in setting and tracking financial and operational goals. Qualifications - Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing. - Strong technical accounting and assurance capabilities, including financial statement preparation, working paper files, and compliance for incorporated businesses. - Solid tax knowledge, including corporate, personal, and GST/PST, with experience in tax planning and advisory considered an asset. - Experience working with small to mid-sized owner-managed businesses; familiarity with the construction industry or project-based businesses is an advantage. - Proficiency with accounting and tax software, cloud-based bookkeeping platforms, and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, practical terms. - Client-service mindset, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and responsiveness in all client interactions. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. - Collaborative approach and willingness to coach, support, and learn from colleagues in a team-oriented environment. - Commitment to continuous learning, career development, and contributing to a positive, engaging workplace culture.
