Empower Indigenous families with Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society as a Family Response Worker! You will develop and implement wellness plans, working closely with families and agencies alike. In this role, your focus will be on assessing family needs and collaborating to foster long-term wellness within Indigenous communities. You'll play a pivotal part in engaging family members through culturally appropriate initiatives, like Healing Circles, while also offering support in crisis situations. Clear documentation and timely updates will ensure effective communication with the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Key Responsibilities: - Facilitate assessments for referred Indigenous families - Craft long-term wellness plans collaboratively - Lead culturally appropriate community support activities - Serve as emergency contact for families - Attend client appointments when needed Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Social Work required - Understanding of Indigenous community dynamics - Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle - Consent to a vulnerable sector criminal record check - Solid understanding of cultural influences Join us in enhancing the lives of Indigenous families through dedicated support.
