Landscaper / Labourer (Kelowna)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscaper / Labourer to join our outdoor maintenance team. This role involves performing various landscaping, construction, and maintenance tasks to ensure the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and landscape work, along with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. Responsibilities - Assist with landscape installation, maintenance, and repair projects - Operate equipment such as excavators, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently - Perform gardening tasks including planting, trimming, mowing, and watering using irrigation systems - Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mulching, fertilizing, and weed control - Support construction activities related to outdoor projects, including site preparation and material handling - Maintain cleanliness of work sites and ensure proper storage of tools and equipment - Perform routine inspections and basic mechanical repairs on landscaping machinery - Follow safety protocols at all times during operations and manual labor tasks Qualifications - Prior experience with landscaping, horticulture, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided - Knowledge of gardening techniques, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance practices is a plus - Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery such as excavators is advantageous - Ability to use hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools safely and effectively - Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions - Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards - Ability to work well independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This role is vital for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces and supporting ongoing landscaping projects.
