Maintenance Coordinator Kingston

Position: Maintenance Representative Location: Kingston, ON Type: Existing vacancy Hours: 40 hours per week, plus weekend shifts and on-call Compensation Range: $42,000 - $47,500 (includes salary, taxable benefit & shift premium) Overview We are currently seeking Maintenance Representative candidates for our apartment buildings in Kingston, ON. If you are interested in general maintenance duties and would like to become part of the Homestead team, this position could be for you! Responsibilities Process work orders for the site ensuring work orders are inputted, prioritized, and closed accordingly. Coordinate and facilitate all work order submissions for the assigned site. Log maintenance requests and involve other members of the team to effectively resolve resident work orders. Under direction of the Manager, schedule repairs with contractors and provide notice of entries to residents to complete work. Perform daily audit of outstanding work orders and follow up on progress. Close completed work orders within Homestead's online Maintenance Portal. Inventory materials and submit orders to replenish stock. General Maintenance Duties Training will be provided. Change faucets, taps, toilets, valves, showerheads, tap washers, plunge toilets, use a snake, change a P trap, flex line, leaks etc. Test a generator Change counter tops, door locks, mail locks, doors, closets, cupboards, shelves, door closers, cabinets, kick plates, towel bars, hinges, drawer slides, cracks/holes in drywall etc. Conduct maintenance walks weekly Repair and report all common area deficiencies including: faulty door closures, light bulbs, plaster blisters, graffiti and vandalism, tile repairs, carpet repairs, etc. Inspect fire system and complete daily and weekly fire log book Qualifications Computer proficient Mechanical background Organized and able to handle multiple projects Administratively organizedPatience and diplomacy with residents Advantages RRSP program to support long-term goals Health, dental, and life insurance Annual bonuses that reward success Company events and celebrations Growth and development opportunities Additional Requirements A satisfactory reference check and criminal records clearance are required for the position.
