Job Summary We are seeking a temporary full-time Dental Assistant to join our team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will support various dental procedures, maintain a clean and safe clinical setting, and foster a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages. Duties - Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. - Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments. - Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray images) while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques. - Operate digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools to support accurate diagnoses. - Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Abledent, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. - Collect vital signs and medical history information to assist in comprehensive patient assessments. - Maintain a sterile environment following infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas meet safety standards. - Assist with medical documentation, coding procedures accurately for insurance claims and medical records management. - Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team. Experience - Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred. - Familiarity with dental assisting procedures such as chairside assisting, aseptic technique, and infection control is essential. - Previous experience in sterlization centre is preffered. - Experience using EMR systems like AbleDent is advantageous. - Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort. - Understanding of medical coding, medical documentation, and medical records management is beneficial. - Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. - Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred but not required; ongoing training opportunities are available for growth within the role.
