THE ROLE As a Cook at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services, you will contribute to an excellent customer experience in the military messes, golf, curling and marina food services operations. You will engage in the artful preparation, cooking, and serving of food that aligns with our designed menus and standardized recipes. Your responsibilities include washing and preparing fruits and vegetables, cooking proteins, ensuring portion sizes and quality, decorating dishes, overseeing proper use and storage of food commodities, operating kitchen equipment, restocking items, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, and working as part of a team to deliver the best customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education:

High school diploma and several years of experience in the food service sector, or a related hospitality field.

Certifications:

Food Handling Certification (as required).

Experience:

Commercial food service; customer service.

Competencies:

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Language requirement:

English essential.
