Queen's University– Alfred and Isabel Bader Postdoctoral Fellowship in Jewish History The Jewish Studies Program in association with the Department of History at Queen's University invites applications for the Alfred and Isabel Bader Post‑Doctoral Fellowship in Jewish History. The fellowship will be awarded to ascholar with a completed PhD and a record of outstanding teaching. The fellowship period is 1 September 2026 – 31 August 2028, and a postdoctoral supervisor will be named based on the successful candidate’s field of specialization.

Responsibilities

Maintain an active scholarly profile.

Teach three one‑term courses on Jewish history (lecture and seminar formats) each academic year in the Department of History.

Develop and conduct course materials in consultation with the Chair of the Department of History and the Director of Jewish Studies.

Qualifications

Completed PhD in History or a cognate discipline.

Outstanding teaching record, capable of teaching in person at Queen's University campus in Kingston, ON.

Evidence of scholarly research and publication related to Jewish history is an asset.

Compensation

Annual total compensation, including teaching stipend, approximately $80,107 CDN (about $51,475 for 2026‑2027, with a teaching stipend of approximately $9,544 per one‑term course).
