Job Overview We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a smooth and positive service experience. This role involves coordinating between customers and technicians, providing expert advice on automotive services, and promoting additional repair and maintenance opportunities. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with robust mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in building customer loyalty and driving sales through upselling quality services. Responsibilities - Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment - Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues - Explain recommended services clearly, providing detailed estimates and timelines - Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work - Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs and customer preferences - Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently - Maintain detailed records of service orders, customer interactions, and vehicle histories - Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote future business - Keep the service area organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards Skills - with understanding of automotive repair processes - Mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate technical information to customers - Strong customer service skills to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction - Sales ability with experience in upselling services to meet both customer needs and dealership goals - Cash handling proficiency for accurate processing of payments - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and repair procedures is a plus This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive technology and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
