Construction Labourer (Kingston)

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople and performing general labor tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities - Assist with the preparation and clean-up of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials and tools - Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and caulking guns to support construction activities - Support carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, and finishing work - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution - Perform demolition, restoration, and renovation work as needed - Assist with installation of flooring, tile laying, painting, plumbing, and welding tasks under supervision - Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment - Support team members with miscellaneous tasks such as moving materials, mixing concrete, or installing fixtures Requirements - Prior experience or familiarity with construction sites is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential - Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively - Knowledge of basic construction techniques including carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, and tile laying is a plus - Ability to read blueprints and schematics is advantageous - Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods - Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team - Reliable transportation or access to job sites as required - A positive attitude with a focus on safety and quality workmanship Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits - In office parking - Store discount Work Location: On the road Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pcga5
