Become a CICE Advocate and Learning Specialist at St. Lawrence College, supporting students with developmental disabilities through focused learning strategies. This part time role emphasizes individualized support and inclusive practices. In this role, you will assist students enrolled in the Community Integration through Cooperative Education program. Your primary focus will be advocating for student needs and modifying instructional methods to suit diverse learning styles. You will collaborate with faculty, conduct tutoring, and champion an inclusive atmosphere for all students. Key Responsibilities: • Advocate effectively for students and their learning needs • Conduct tailored tutoring sessions for individual and group support • Adapt coursework in partnership with faculty for student success • Attend classes to monitor engagement and comprehension • Foster an inclusive college experience for all attendees Requirements: • Diploma in a relevant field such as Social Services • At least 3 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities • Knowledge of adult learning methods • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and assistive technology • Solid organizational and communication skills Be a key contributor to enhancing learning opportunities for students at St. Lawrence College.
