Horticulturist Helper, Kingsville

Job Details:

$19.00 Hourly
Full time, permanent
6-days a week, steady day shift, possible extended hours depending on crops and priorities; which could include possible Sunday shifts as
required.

Job Responsibilities and Account abilities:

Assist in receiving and counting orders.
Assist in cleaning and maintaining irrigation systems
Assist in distributing bios.
Assist in the maintenance of the facility and farm infrastructure.
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
Follow company policies as set out in the employee handbook.
Follow all health and food safety procedures
Follow the procedures to report any incidents at work.
Plant, fertilize, irrigate and harvest crops.
Report any quality or crop issues to Grower.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Basic farm knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively.

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy material (i.e. up to 23 kg / 50 lbs.)
Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
Work in a changing temperature environment
