Plant Manager (Kingsville)

Plant Manager this pivotal leadership role overseeing daily plant operations, production performance, and team development for a growing metal fabrication facility. Position: Plant Manager Work Environment and Benefits: · Competitive remunerations: 30.00 to 40.00/hour to commensurate with experience. · Permanent full-time role · This role requires on-site presence at our facility and does not accommodate remote work. · Location: Kingsville, ON Role and Responsibilities Shop Floor · Oversee day to day operations of the shop floor; designate/assign tasks to staff, accordingly, ensure that shop floor staff carry out their designated tasks and duties diligently and effectively in order to achieve company goals · Assist Operations in process flow of shop floor - Provide input for all potential new hires and current employees · Daily/Weekly scheduling of all shop employees' priorities throughout ongoing programs · Provide training for personnel on the safe use of all shop equipment, including proper techniques for welding/grinding/etc. · Effective communication with staff daily (delegation, conflict resolution, etc.) · Monitoring and reporting attendance of all shop employees and deviations of schedules report to Operations/HR Health and Safety · Ensuring all daily checklist (forklift/saw/welders/paint booth, etc.) are performed so Health and Safety Monitoring practices and policies are followed by all employees maintaining a safe workplace · Implement/create safety protocols as required- including pre-emptive efforts to avoid hazards; report deviation of safe practices observed for review and resolution measures · Maintain clean work environment for entire team Programs and Quality · Maintain effective communication with Operations on progress for all ongoing programs · Work with Sales/Operations on BOM for each program (cut-list, in-house capabilities, available material, etc.) · Monitoring all purchased shop items (consumables) for inventory/production (paint/coolant/gas) Ø Reporting to Operations/Purchasing to ensure production will not slow/stop Ø Supply requisition can be issued daily/weekly · Lead quality inspections for all programs Ø Report to Operations Ø Samples to be inspected and approved/revised by Forman & Operations Key Requirements · Proven experience in steel fabrication shop operations · Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a must. · Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. · Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Flexible and hands-on with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach. · Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive cross-functional teams. · Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with a knack for overcoming challenges and delivering results. · The ability to understand the wider objectives of the program, such as business and strategic goals · The ability to work with a wide range of individuals Equal Opportunity Statement: Delta 70 Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and complies fully with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
