Assistant Groundskeeper (Kingsville), Essex (Belle River)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for landscaping and gardening. The Groundskeeper will work with both hand tools and power tools to ensure that all areas are well-kept and inviting. This is a seasonal position intended for students looking for summer employment.Duties

Maintain gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas by mowing, trimming, and planting as needed. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including weeding, mulching, and fertilizing. Utilize hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners for various gardening tasks. Operate power tools like lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers safely and efficiently.Keep grounds clean by removing debris, litter, and fallen branches. Power washing surfaces (driveway, patio, walkways etc.) Cleaning and maintaining outdoor furniture. Qualifications

Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred but not required. Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools related to groundskeeping tasks. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and aesthetics.Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Reliable transportation to and from the job site in Kingsville. Benefits
