Kingsville Distribution Center, a 150,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team. Shift&Compensation
Shift: Afternoons, 3pm-11am, 5-6 days a week Wage: $19.20 per hour Designation: Full-time Permanent Primary Responsibilities
Ensure all product meets or exceeds customer specifications. Validate correct product is pulled and shipped according to allocation. Document all QA functions accurately and proficiently. Assist the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor in performing product inspections, ensuring labeling specifications are adhered to and correcting non-conformance products.Flex between the shipping dock, receiving dock, and production to assist the Supervisor with quality issues and inspections. Report exceptions to customer specifications to the Supervisor. Send out quality issue emails for non‑compliant product. Oversee floor operations when the Supervisor is unavailable.Track recent rejections and rejection trends. Ensure product packaging is presentable for customers. Maintain the highest presentation standards. Perform any other quality control related tasks or special projects as assigned. Provide training as required. Operate forklift or pallet jack as required.Education / Background Requirements
One year of college degree or six months of experience in a related field. Previous experience in the produce industry preferred. Knowledge, Skills&Abilities
Must sign a confidentiality agreement upon hire. Self‑starter willing to work flexible hours. Proficient in written and verbal English communication. Computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer usage. Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills with a sense of urgency.Inspection or audit experience and familiarity with software applications are assets. Experience with JDA or NAV preferred. Ability to use and read measuring devices such as scales, calipers, and rulers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions
Expansive refrigerated warehouse environment, temperatures ranging 45‑55 degrees (office areas excluded). Background noise approaching 70 decibels. Must be capable of lifting up to 35 lbs.
