Legal Expert Part-Time | Remote (US, UK, Canada, or Australia) $85 –$120/hour | Hourly Contract About the Role A leading AI research lab is seeking experienced Legal professionals to join a project aimed at improving how AI systems understand, process, and reason about complex legal concepts. In this role, you will design challenging legal questions, evaluate AI-generated responses, and provide structured insights that shape the future of AI in the legal domain. This is a unique opportunity to apply your legal expertise to cutting-edge AI research while working remotely and flexibly. Key Responsibilities - Develop and review legal questions and evaluation sets across multiple practice areas. - Assess AI-generated legal responses for accuracy, clarity, and logical reasoning. - Solve domain-specific legal problems to benchmark model capabilities. - Synthesize complex legal information from statutes, case law, and academic sources. - Provide structured, detailed feedback to align AI systems with legal standards and practices. Qualifications - Advanced legal education or credentials (e.g., J.D., LL.M., S.J.D., Ph.D. in Law) from a top university. - Solid legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Exceptional written communication and attention to detail. - Ability to synthesize information across diverse legal sources. - Preferred: prior law practice or industry experience (litigation, corporate, regulatory, etc.). - Location: Must be based in the U.S., U.K., Canada, or Australia. Project Details - Start Date: Immediate. - Duration: 4 weeks (with extension potential). - Commitment: Part-time, ~20+ hours/week. - Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule. Compensation & Contract - Rate: $110–$130/hour (USD). - Performance Incentives: Top performers may earn an additional $20–$100/hour bonus. - Independent contractor engagement. - Daily payments via Stripe Connect.
