Mechanical Systems Designer (Full-Time / Permanent) LuxeTech is currently identifying high-caliber Mechanical Systems Designers to support a key partnership within the Ontario industrial sector. This role is built for a professional who excels in "engineered-to-order" environments, where every project is a unique challenge and every design has a direct impact on a global scale. The Mission You will be the mechanical lead on bespoke machinery projects, taking full ownership from the initial concept on a screen to the physical build on the floor. - Bespoke Machine Design: Translate complex client requirements into functional, sophisticated mechanical models using SolidWorks. - Systems Innovation: Engineer solutions for intricate mechanical challenges, ensuring every component integrates seamlessly into the larger system. - Technical Stewardship: Guide project teams through technical hurdles and set the standard for design excellence and contract adherence. - Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the transition from design to reality by overseeing Bills of Materials (BOMs), procurement, and vendor coordination. - Continuous Advancement: Research and implement emerging technologies to keep our client's product lines at the cutting edge of the industry. The Qualified Profile - Education: A University degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or a comparable technical discipline). - Core Skills: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks is a non-negotiable, supported by a deep understanding of how mechanical and electrical systems interact. - Operational Agility: Proven experience navigating the procurement side of engineering; managing BOMs, vetting new vendors, and resolving manufacturing bottlenecks. - Mindset: A self-starter who values independent growth but recognizes the power of a collaborative, high-performing team.
