Work Model: Fully Remote Engagement Type: 6-months contract with solid potential for extension Only candidates legally eligible to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship will be contacted Our client is looking for experienced AML Internal Auditors to join a high-impact engagement within the financial services space. What You’ll Be Working On You’ll play a key role in assessing and enhancing AML and Financial Crimes programs using a risk-based audit approach. Depending on your level, you may: At the Manager level, you will: Lead end-to-end AML and Financial Crimes internal audit engagements Evaluate AML programs against regulatory expectations and industry standards Oversee remediation validation for regulatory and audit findings Partner closely with stakeholders across AML, Financial Crimes, and Internal Audit Coach and mentor junior team members Drive high-quality reporting and clear communication of audit results At the Senior Consultant level, you will: Execute AML audit testing, including walkthroughs and control effectiveness testing Analyze findings, identify risks, and support issue reporting Assist with remediation validation and regulatory closure activities Contribute to audit reporting and documentation Stay current on AML/ATF regulations and best practices What We’re Looking For 3+ years of Internal Audit experience (3rd line of defense) within a banking environment 1+ year of hands-on AML experience Strong understanding of Canadian AML regulations (PCMLTFA/R, FINTRAC, OSFI) Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, CIA (or similar) are highly valued Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or a related field Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while collaborating with a broader team Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint PlanIT is an equal chance employer.
