Registered Nurse, Emergency (Job ID: 6109) Full‑Time Registered Nurse (ONA KW) – 2 Positions Location: WRHN @ Midtown (formerly Grand River Hospital, KW Campus) Hours of work: ONA2D2N (ONA 2D 2N)

Job Summary Functioning interdependently with members of the multidisciplinary team, assesses the needs of adult and pediatric patients requiring care in the Emergency Department. Contributes to ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nursing Ontario

BCLS, ACLS&PALS Certification required

Minimum of one‑year current nursing experience, including Blood and Blood Products Administration, Urinary and Gastric Catheter Insertion, Glucose Point‑of‑Care Testing, Management of Patients with Intravenous Therapy

Minimum one‑year experience in an Emergency/Critical Care setting and competency in Venipuncture to initiate IV therapy, Advanced IV Medication Administration (including direct IV Administration and Special IV Infusions such as Inotropes), Application of Energy to include Defibrillation and Transthoracic Pacing, Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Course)

Successfully completed one or more of the following certificates: TNCC/ATLS, Triage, Physical Assessment, Cardiac Arrhythmia

Good attendance record
