Job Posting Title Superintendent -Telecommunications (12-Month Contract) You are a Superintendent with a diverse background and experience supporting Outside Plant and Inside Build FTTx construction projects. You are responsible for day-to-day field operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. As the Superintendent, you will also ensure work is done safely, implement project plans and schedules, and oversee safety, quality and production of contractors and trades people. This is a 12-month fixed-term position. Join Ledcor Technical Services in Kitchener, Ontario.
Essential Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the project-specific safety plan and all applicable occupational health and safety legislation.
Ensure project schedules are met.
Maintain company standards regarding quality protocols.
Conduct regular field inspections and follow up with subcontractors on the quality of completed work orders.
Provide support and guidance to subcontractors.
Ensure the contractor is in compliance with internal corporate programs, policies and standards.
Manage subcontractor invoices.
Take action to monitor and control costs.
Manage escalations and provide exceptional customer service to clients related to quality, work performed, standards, etc.
Oversee all client-specific requirements based on contract requirements.
Qualifications
3–5 years of telecommunications experience required (inside wiring experience preferred).
Completed post-secondary degree or diploma in telecommunications or a related field is an asset.
Proven experience overseeing subcontractors and multiple project locations simultaneously.
Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
Proven ability to plan and organize workloads and work with multiple deadlines.
Familiarity with the field’s concepts, practices and procedures, including OSP, inside plant, and applicable building codes.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates effective decision-making skills, self-motivation, and ability to prioritize and organize workloads with little direction.
Must be computer savvy, able to handle multiple computer applications.
Work Conditions
Travel to various sites is required.
Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position.
Compensation $73,600.00– $101,200.00
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
